Program Description:
This talk will discuss the most common perianal tumors, primarily in the dog, less common in cats:
· anal sac gland neoplasia
· perianal or “hepatoid” gland tumors
· anal gland tumors in cats
· non-gland tumors: infiltrative lipomas, leiomyomas/sarcomas
Learning Objectives:
1. Attendees will learn the behavior, diagnosis, treatment options, and prognosis for the more common perianal tumors.
2. Surgical tips and anatomy considerations.
3. Surgical instruments/devices that can be helpful for perianal surgery.
